“ The food was so good, every dish packed with flavour. We enjoyed the food, drink, service and the atmosphere, start from entree my favourite was scallop it was so juicy and it went well with the dressing yum!!! I highly recommend that lamb shank panang curry. I will definitely visit this restaurant again. ”
“ An excellent experience from start to finish. The food was delicious, with well-balanced and authentic flavors. On top of that, the presentation of each dish was flawless—worthy of fine dining. Definitely a place I’ll return to and recommend ”
“ Bantatthong is one of those rare restaurants that gets everything right. Arriving for the early sitting at 5:30 pm, we found the dining room already bustling, every table filled. The restaurant operates two sittings, and with such demand, advance booking is essential, particularly on weekends. Service was outstanding. Despite the pace, the team worked seamlessly, combining efficiency with genuine warmth. The food was exceptional, both in presentation and flavour — a clear reflection of the impressive credentials behind the kitchen team. Bantatthong delivers on every level. It is highly recommended and a place we will certainly return to. ”
“ One of our favourite Thai restaurants in Melbourne. We love the menu, they have seasonal specials which we always include in our choices. We love that we are allowed to BYO they do have a great cocktail list too though. Only drawback: the two hour time limit which always makes us feel rushed. We would love to have time to enjoy our company and take our time eating and drinking. ”
“ Dining at Bantatthong Thai Restaurant was an absolute pleasure. The ambiance exudes warmth and elegance, setting the stage for an exceptional Thai culinary journey. While the entire meal was delightful, the standout was undoubtedly the "Edible Forest" dessert. This innovative creation masterfully combined earthy mushroom elements with sweet components, resulting in a harmonious blend of flavors and textures. The presentation was nothing short of artful, capturing the essence of a forest on a plate. It's worth noting that the mango sticky rice, a classic Thai dessert, was unavailable during our visit. Though we missed out on this traditional favorite, the "Edible Forest" more than compensated, leaving a lasting impression. ”
“ First time visiting this Thai restaurant in Brighton, and it was absolutely worth it! The food was delicious and very reasonably priced — we ordered 9 dishes and it only came to around $200. The staff were super friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. The highlight was definitely their mushroom dessert — beautiful presentation and amazing taste, a must-try! ”
“ As a Thai, I’d say this restaurant really impressed me with its entrees. The King (prawn) was legendary, tacos were excellent, and the scallops came with authentic Thai seafood sauce. The Pad See Ew was outstanding and easily my favorite of the night. Massaman beef curry was flavorful. The crab fried rice looked beautifully presented, though the taste was a bit moderate. Dessert was creative, but more French patisserie than Thai style. Overall was excellent. Definitely come back again ”
